Moving into 2021 as the President of the ICRI – Florida West Coast Chapter, is both exciting and somber at the same time. Being a part of ICRI-FWC for many years and second time as president, last year has been the most difficult time I can remember ever facing as a group and personally. This was true for so many as individuals trying to carry on with life and work, but maintaining our safety and welfare for our families. COVID-19 placed many restrictions on our activities, group gatherings, and in the work place all for the greater good of our health and those around us. As COVID-19 is better understood, vaccines being administer, and restrictions lifted, we attempt to move forward with the “New Norm”. The “New Norm” differs though from individual to individual as we find balance between work, home, and life. The “New Norm” has provided ICRI-FWC with an opportunity to go back to networking and educating. This is the excitement that can be felt personally and expressed by many our members. As we navigate thru the “New Norm”, adjustments will be made as needed throughout the year. I want to thank Brian Keiter, past president, and the entire 2020 board for making those difficult decisions early on in the pandemic and the remainder of 2020. I also want to thank the sponsors that have been with us through With the current board working hard to set the goals and events for 2021 into motion while planning the chapter’s future and the benefits to our members, I am grateful to be this year’s president and surrounded by hardworking individuals.
